Producer: Quinta do Sagrado
Grape variety: 55% Touriga Nacional, 40% Old vines (100 years old) , 5% Tinto Cão
This premium wine from the amazing Sagrado producer is a result of great growing conditions on the beautiful schist slopes of the Douro valley. It has produced a wine that has a lively, limpid, violet appearance with vanilla and dark ripe berries on the nose. And as for the taste......delicious is a good start! It has great flavours, nice acidity and a smooth, well balanced finish. A special occasion? Then this will be the wine to enjoy with it. A wine that aged in full for 18 months in new and 2nd year oak and where old vine grapes (over 100 years old) are still foot pressed in granite lagares.
